Perio Partners - Specialist Periodontics, Implants and Oral Medicine
General dentists can provide many dental procedures including certain aspects of periodontal care for their patients. Some may have special interest in periodontics and even participated in continuing professional development courses and graduate certificates / diplomas run by various companies, dental institutions and universities. However, the level of complexity in some clinical conditions may need to be managed by dental specialists.
Periodontics is a dental specialty recognised by the Australian Dental Association (ADA), Dental Board of Australia (AHPRA) and Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS). A periodontist is a registered dental specialist with an additional three years full time advanced training (beyond the Bachelor degree of a general dentist) at a University postgraduate program that is accredited by the Australian Dental Council (ADC), leading to the degree of Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Periodontics). With a good comprehension of the latest evidence based dental literature, a periodontist can provide the highest possible quality of periodontal care for their patients.
Our periodontists offer the complete management of periodontal problems, including non-surgical and surgical periodontal therapy, regenerative and soft-tissue grafting procedures, dental implant placement procedures and periodontal and implant maintenance care.
At Perio Partners, we have registered Periodontists and hygienists to treat and manage periodontal problems. We also have Oral Medicine specialists for the management of mucosal and oro-facial pain issues. We strive to provide the highest level of care for your patients. Please feel free to contact the practice if you have any queries regarding existing patients or new referrals.
